$1M for gastroenterology care at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital

Ten donors support purchase of cutting-edge equipment.

The Government of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Health Authority recently announced the recruitment of Dr. Rabin Persa, pediatric gastroenterologist.

SASKATOON — Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF) has received a $1 million donation from 10 generous donors to support the purchase of cutting-edge pediatric gastroenterology equipment for infants, children and families at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH).

"This gift from community leaders demonstrates a profound commitment to the health and well-being of Saskatchewan's children,” says Dr. Klassen, Provincial Pediatric Department head.

According to a press release, this donation allows JPCH to purchase state-of-the-art equipment for the pediatric gastroenterology team, enhancing ability to diagnose and treat complex conditions.

“This donation is a shining example of what happens when a provincial community comes together to support Saskatchewan families,” said Brynn Boback- Lane JPCHF President and CEO.

“JPCHF would like to thank: Jim and Lisa Yuel, Craig and Pam Lothian, Gord and Barb Broda, Malcolm Jenkins, The Sterling Hornoi Family, Greg and Olivia Yuel, the Walker Family, the Halpape Family, the Olson Family and Duane and Bev Smith.”
