P.A. police investigating shooting of dog

The dog was taken to the vet and is now in stable condition.

PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service has released a photo of a suspect in relation to a dog being shot on Tuesday afternoon.

On March 25, at approximately 2:10 p.m. police were called to the 100 block of 28th Street East for a weapons complaint. Initial information stated a dog had been shot and was taken to the vet.

Upon further investigation, officers learned there was a loud bang and the complainant went outside and observed their dog had an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. The dog was then taken to the vet and is now in stable condition.

Through their investigation, officers were able to obtain video footage and obtain an image of the suspect in this incident.

Police are continuing to investigate this incident and is asking anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect in the image to contact police at 306-953-4222. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
