SUCKER RIVER - Update, Nov. 28, 2024, 1:05 p.m.: A man has been taken into custody, following an ongoing investigation in Sucker River. Police will provide an update when more information is available.
Original post, Nov. 28, 2024, 12:33 p.m.: La Ronge RCMP advise of an increased police presence in the community of Sucker River, located approximately 230 kilometres north of Prince Albert, in relation to an ongoing investigation. People are asked to avoid the areas where police are present and follow any police directions provided.
The RCMP will provide an update with more information as soon as they are able. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, police will notify the public.
