When did it become OK to be unhealthy?

I guess, more than anything, I'm just curious when this all happened? You can't bend over to tie up your shoes. You are completely out of breath from climbing just one set of stairs.

I guess, more than anything, I'm just curious when this all happened? You can't bend over to tie up your shoes. You are completely out of breath from climbing just one set of stairs. Everyone at the local ice cream shop and the fast food restaurants knows you by name. Yet, you are choosing to do nothing about it. You are a ticking time bomb.

There could be many reasons why you aren't doing anything about your health. I'd like to believe you don't choose to live this way because you don't care about your family, don't care to see your kids graduate or because you want to leave your spouse early and not enjoy retirement together. I'd rather like to believe it's because it is much easier to be unhealthy than it is to be healthy.

Let's be honest! Burgers, fries and pizza taste a lot better to most people than chicken and rice do. Sitting on the couch is a heck of a lot easier than exercising. And chatting with friends over ice cream is a lost more enjoyable than having a trainer yell "one more rep!" at 6 a.m.

But really! What are you waiting for? A heart attack? Even if you aren't overweight, heart disease is a possibility. Being confident about your body image and comfortable with your weight is one thing but your heart needs exercise. Cardiovascular problems can affect you whether you are 10 pounds underweight or 200 pounds overweight.

Your body is your temple and it should be treated that way. Get on a healthy trend now before it's too late. Start with small changes like the size of your portions, adding small amounts of exercise in your day or eliminating fast food meals. You don't have to start everything at once but you do need to start. If you don't know where or how to get started talk to someone who can help you.
