Dear Editor
I've written this letter before in other foggy autumns, and now I'm writing it again.
Late October and early November are usually foggy and this year might be foggier than usual.
There are thick-headed drivers in that thick fog who seem to think that because the vehicle they drive has automatic headlights every other driver can see the entire vehicle.
Not so, for unless the general lights are turned on, the majority of the vehicles do not have automatic taillights.
Cars, light trucks, oil tankers, these are just ghost vehicles from the rear.
It's not unusual to come up on one little red light impossible to see in the dense fog or heavy snowfall on the rear of a huge oil truck.
It shouldn't be remarkable that there are accidents on the road, it's remarkable that we don't have more.
Don't blame the weather, blame us.
