Mayor Eaton's choice to honour Emergency Services at the Mayor's Annual Prayer Breakfast this year was greatly appreciated. The guest speaker, Mr. Tim McCullough, Provincial Chaplain for the RCMP, was very timely in reminding each of us we can have a positive impact in our community. Growth in our region and daily challenges in health care often stress our resources, causing the positive results to be overshadowed by challenges and change.
It was very re-affirming to hear the supportive words of our mayor, accept an award from the Safe Communities Council, and be uplifted by the prayers of our Humboldt Ministerial Association as they asked for blessing and protection for the leaders in our country, province, and city and for the Emergency Services in Humboldt.
The prayer breakfast is another shining example of how, throughout various levels of leadership and organizations in Humboldt, there is a sense of camaraderie and co-operation. We are honoured to be associated with our community as Humboldt stands for excellence and community spirit in all it seeks to accomplish.
Please accept our thanks for the ongoing community support.
