When one side of the street or avenue has a sidewalk and the other side an eight- to 10-foot median, wouldn't it make sense to plow the snow to the side with the median instead of pushing it to the side where a poor, 80-year-old man has been trying to keep the sidewalk celan?
While offering congratulations to the City engineering department for their prompt deployment of snow removal equipment after a heavy snowfall, I have to wonder if they could take a few minutes to instruct those operators in methods that cause the least amount of grief and stress to city residents.
