There are rumours the historic Saskatoon Trail, south of Battleford, will be closed. What a shame. This scenic trail will soon be another memory.
The wooden bridges need to be repaired and replaced. Surely the Saskatchewan and federal governments should be able to step in and preserve this scenic and historic site.
This trail follows the North Saskatchewan River through Baljennie and was used by carts pulled by oxen. It connected Saskatoon and Edmonton.
