My bouquet is to our locally owned and operated Dairy Queen store.
I am impressed by the good "old fashioned" service there. I am a retired social worker and I do frequent DQ. The staff is always pleasant, friendly and offer excellent, fast service to all customers. Yet they are patient and respectful of all customers. On several occasions I have seen DQ staff patiently, go above and beyond with small children, the elderly, young adults, mentally, physically and developmentally handicapped people. They are bubbly and friendly. They know many of the customers by name.
On several occasions they have carried food orders and even beverages out to the customer's table if the customer is handicapped, shaky or just doesn't get around as steadily as they once did.
They are patient and helpful when serving even the youngest customer who can't decide what they want. "Hmm I want a hot dog hmm no chicken fingers," then after the order is placed, "no I want a hamburger."
When the staff are not busy behind the counter they are busy cleaning tables and the floors. They work well as a team and seem to have fun. On occasion they do fool around a bit, but rarely, and who of us doesn't fool around at work periodically?
Thank you, Terry and Jennifer Burnett for good old fashioned service and management.
