Dog lovers grateful

A big bouquet to Ryan Gidych, Brandon Keating and Ted King for being "Snow Angels" and coming to the aid of responsible dog owners trying to get to the dog park by the airport Monday.

A big bouquet to Ryan Gidych, Brandon Keating and Ted King for being "Snow Angels" and coming to the aid of responsible dog owners trying to get to the dog park by the airport Monday. The roads had blown in and they not only pulled out the stuck motorists and their dogs, but they plowed out the road to the park and cleared the parking lot. This is something they have become accustomed to doing over the years, even though they don't work for the City, but are employees of Battlefords Airspray. They have simply been in the "right" place at the "right" time for the stranded motorists.

A big boot to the City for not keeping the road and parking lot clear for these responsible dog owners. We do pay a dog license fee. Let's see it directed toward something positive. It is unfortunate the dog park is in an isolated area and notwithin walking distance fordog owners. Can we fix that? I'm sure we can. There are tracts of under used green space within the city. I'm sure we could have several small parks in several areas of the city, not unlike Saskatoon, Regina and Calgary, just to name a few other cities.

A Grateful and HopefulDog Pa
