Dear Editor
I want to commend you on behalf of myself and several friends who all appreciated the witty, informative, clever and funny caption for the flagpole picture in the Sept. 28 edition of the News-Optimist (Page 5).
I'm sure most people didn't get the humour and knowing you are probably used to getting more complaints than praise, I had to tell you how much we enjoyed the writer's attempt to satisfy the people who would be complaining ahead of time.
A balancing act to be sure, but handled with aplomb and humour. Thank you.
The paper gets more interesting every week.
