Dear Editor
I was admitted on the evening of March 6 to Battlefords Union Hospital emergency. After a CT scan, it was determined I had suffered a mild stroke. There were no beds, so I was kept overnight in the ER. The next day I moved to the third floor. What wonderful care I received from the nursing and therapy staff. It was absolutely A one. Also thanks to Dr. Hessleson for his care.
During my admission, I was able to use a walker to attend to my personal needs. Over the years I heard remarks about the food. I found the food was excellent with good helpings.
Thank you BUH staff for the tremendous care I received during the three weeks I was an inpatient.
Now I attend the Stroke Rehab Clinic at BUH once a week and I am getting closer to normal each week. Prior to attending my appointments at the cancer clinic in Saskatoon, I have been able to have ultrasound testing done at BUH, saving me an extra trip to Saskatoon.
Since my recent admission to BUH, I appreciate the vision of the Prairie North Regional Health Authority board of directors. As well, I acknowledge the wonderful support of my family. I appreciate being able to greet each morning at home with my family and my great neighbours.
