WHITE: Patricia Dorothy White, December 23, 1934 ~ November 20, 2012. Patricia Dorothy White (nee Turpin) passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Medicine Hat, AB. surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 20th, 2012 at the age of 77 years. Left to cherish and honor her memory are her loving husband of 52 years, David White of Meadow Lake, SK; daughter Laura and son-in-law, Doug Weber of Redcliff, AB; grandchildren, Janelle Weber (Mike Martin) of Slave Lake, AB, Scott Weber of Fort McMurray, AB, Brent Weber of Edmonton, AB; great grandson, Eric Martin; brother-in-law, Stewart Turpin; nieces, Shelley Thompson, Brenda Esquirol and nephew, Robert (Joanne) Turpin. She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Dorothy Turpin; sister, Betty (Bob) Reynolds; in-laws, Harley and Phyllis White and sister-in-law, Lorraine Turpin. Pat was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on December 23, 1934 and after completing high school she attended St. Paul's Hospital School of Nursing in Saskatoon. Pat nursed in Edmonton and North Battleford and was also the Director of Nursing at the Meadow Lake Hospital for many years. Pat's dedication to the profession touched many lives. In later years, she and David began wintering in Arizona and then Mexico but summers were spent in North Battleford. A few years ago, Pat and David returned to and resided in Meadow Lake. Pat's family and friends were the joy of her life, especially her great grandson Eric, and her dogs Chiquita and Chico. Pat will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who loved her. A private family graveside service will be held later in the spring of 2013.
