Shirley was born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan on December 20th, 1948, the first child born to Ralph and Johanna Kuntz. Her love of the outdoors began as a child. Shirley was only 16 when her dad passed away and out of necessity she learned to operate farm machinery and look after cattle, all of which she mastered. She married Ted Wesson on July 7th, 1973, and began her life on the farm in Maidstone, which was her favorite place to be. Together, Shirley and Ted raised five children - Tanya, Guy, Bryan, Clinton and Marilyn whom she was very proud of. Shirley loved the farm and everything about it. In her mind, there was no other place to be. She loved to help with the farming operation and drove the combine at harvest. She was a wonderful cook and gardener. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than working in her greenhouse, especially when her grandchildren were digging in the dirt alongside her. She loved to work out in her yard which was very evident when you saw her beautiful flowers. She so enjoyed getting together with her family and friends to celebrate birthdays and Christmas and was a host like no other. She will forever be in our hearts. CARD OF THANKS Words cannot express our gratitude at the kindness shown to our family during Shirley's courageous battle and since her passing. The kind words, prayers, cards, phone calls, food and flowers were overwhelming and very much appreciated. We will forever be grateful. Ted, Tanya, Guy, Bryan, Clinton, Marilyn & families ____________________________________________________
