TRUEMNER: Lillian May Truemner (nee: Allen). It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lillian May Truemner on March 5, 2011. Lillian was born Sept. 14, 1916 in North Portal, Sask.

TRUEMNER: Lillian May Truemner (nee: Allen). It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lillian May Truemner on March 5, 2011. Lillian was born Sept. 14, 1916 in North Portal, Sask. She grew up along the Souris River in the North Portal / Oxbow area. The family moved to the Glaslyn District in the early thirties. She attended School in North Battleford for Grade 11 & 12, plus took a year of Commercial. After graduating, she worked in the Glaslyn Post Office for several years. In 1947 she married Don Truemner whereupon they moved to Flin Flon. Their oldest daughter was born in Flin Flon. In 1949 they moved back to the Midnight Lake District and took up farming. Their second daughter arrived in 1950. They lived on the farm until 1993, when they retired and moved into North Battleford. Lily was very active in the Midnight Lake Community, was always available if the neighbours needed anything, served on the Glaslyn School Board & became a Life Member of the Glaslyn UCW. She was a very hard working, talented and generous person. She was an avid painter. Her pictures are hanging in many homes across western Canada. She was also an avid seamstress. She was a member of the Third Avenue United Church Quilting Group until she turned 92 years old. Lillian was predeceased by all her brothers and sisters: George, Frank, Gordon, Bill, Fred, Robert, Arthur, Oliver and Sister Jenny. Her husband, Don passed away in 1998. A Service to honour her life was held at Third Avenue United Church ~ North Battleford, SK on March 26, 2011. Interment was in the North Battleford Cemetery. She is survived by her Daughters - Barbara & Phyllis, son-in-law, Roger Dubielewicz, Grandchildren - Scott Dubielewicz, Kirk Dubielewicz (Miel), Wade Dubielewicz (Meghan), Great-Grandchildren - Travis & Avery; brother-in-law, Garnet, nieces - Pat Olson, Donna Allen, Eva Heide, Mary Allen; nephews - Raymond Allen (Natalie), Rod Weseen (Wendy), Jack Weseen (Shelly), Ken Truemner (Sharon), Cliff Truemner, Ron Truemner (Rita), Albert Allen and Bill Allen. The family wishes to thank Dr. LaCock and the Palliative Care Staff at the Battlefords Union Hospital for their devoted care during her hospital stay; Rev. Fred Tinio for conducting the service; Jaya Hoy - Organist; Cathy Richardson and Lisa Hornung for their duet; both the Third Avenue United Church Choir and UCW for everything & Bob MacKay and staff of Battlefords Funeral Service for taking special care of the family. To all the family and friends who phoned, sent flowers & cards, provided food, etc-we thank you so much for your support during this difficult time. ____________________________________________________
