TORNBERG: In loving memory of Beverley Marianne Tornberg who was born July 18/1940 at North Batleford, Sk and passed away Jan 2/2013 amongst family in Saskatoon. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Roy Tornberg, daughters Pat (Bill) Newman, Val (Mike) Dupuis, Nancy (Darrin) Beaudoin sons Clarence Roberts & (Wendy) and Chris (Corra) Roberts. She was the shining star in her 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren's lives. Bev also leaves behind her brother Barry (Peggy) Bates and their 2 girls, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Roy's children Daryl Tornberg, Penny Wheeler, Gail Armstrong and Wayne Tornberg and their families will also miss her. Bev was predeceased by her parents Tom and Ada Bates Owen of Maymont and infant daughter Joan Roberts. Service was held Jan 7th at the Battlefords United Church with Nora Borgeson officiating. Many thanks go to two of Bev's friends Florence Sehn and Rosalie Jarvais for their shared memories as well as John Sloan for singing "Suppertime", the Hillcrest Singers and Battleford's United Church choir for singing two of Bev's favorite hyms, the Royal Purple for their tribute to Bev's life , Eastern Star for the Honor Guard and granddaughter Brittani VanMeter for showing us the beautiful woman Bev was through a slide show. The Urn was carried by daughter Val. The interment will be held at a later date at the Battlefords Cemetery. Card of Thanks The family would like to sincerely thank the hundreds of people who came to pay tribute to Bev's very busy life. To all our friends and family for their kind words, support, phone calls, emails, cards, flowers, food , donations and especially the hugs, thank you for helping us get through such a difficult time. Thank you so much to Bob MacKay at Battlefords Funeral Service for his kindness, compassion and all his help. Lastly, thank you to the Battlefords United Church CWL for the wonderful lunch and to all the other people who came into Bev's life when she needed them the most.
