SHRYKO - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liz Shryko, late of Battleford, on October 28, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Liz was born on August 9, 1928 at Major, Saskatchewan. Liz leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter Helen (Ron) Woytowich; grandchildren: Tammy Woytowich, Rae Anne Woytowich (Lyle Sherwin), Leanne Woytowich (Scott Morash); great-grandchildren: Jacinda, Nadine, Cody, Joshua, Cole, Rachel, and Kayleigh; sisters-in-law Lena Oborowsky, Minnie Oborowsky, Tillie Shryko, and Janet Shryko. She was predeceased by her parents Conrad and Agnes Oborowsky; her husband Mike Shryko; brothers: John, Philip (Doris), Peter (Louise), and Joe; sisters Pauline (Joe) Mennsa, Mary Oborowsky, Ann (Rudy) Daum, and Agnes in infancy; sisters-in-law (Mike's side): Ann (Nick) Dalik, Belle (Joe) Mannix, Edna (George) Mannix, and Doris (Philip) Oborowsky; brothers-in-law (Mike's side): Alex Shryko, Henry Shryko, Matt Shryko, Bill Shryko, and Nick Shryko. Prayers were held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from Sallows & McDonald - Wilson & Zehner Funeral Home, North Battleford, with Betty Stone presiding. The funeral mass was held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from St. Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, with Reverend Father Val Besas as celebrant. Interment took place at the City of North Battleford Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Liz's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
