SHORT: Anne Marie Short (wife of Dr. Leo Short) of Innisfail passed away at the Rosefield Centre on September 5, 2013 at the age of 58 years. Anne was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was interested in acting from childhood and used to put on her own plays. After secretarial college she became a secretary at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast. It is the same theatre a young Liam Neesom was starting his acting career. She married her husband Leo in January 1975. Their two children Tim and then Leanne were born in Ireland. The family immigrated to Canada in 1978 to North Battleford, SK, where they lived for 19 years. Anne followed her love for the theatre acting with the Battlefords Community Players plus several commercials. Leo & Anne moved to Innisfail where they lived until her passing. She is survived by her husband Leo, son Timothy of Rocky Mountain House and daughter Leanne of Red Deer; and 4 grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Michael and sisters Francis and Patrice. She was predeceased by her parents Jim & Patricia. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church, Innisfail.
