SCHELER: Our family is saddened with the unexpected death of Brent Murray Scheler. Brent passed away, at the age of 58, on December 22nd, 2012 on a bright crisp winter afternoon while cross-country skiing. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Vickie (Darrick - stepson), his three children Ian, Andrea, and Kyle, his sister Susan (Dr. Bruce Murray), his nieces Jenna and Michelle, nephew Kirk, step-father Keith Douglas, many cousins and many many friends. Brent was predeceased by his father Milton Sydney and adoring mother Marjorie Joyce. Brent was born July 23rd, 1954 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario and moved to Saskatoon at an early age. He spent his adult years in the North Battleford area where his family was raised. Brent lived a life of adventure. He loved travel, music and spending many summers at Jackfish Lake with his family and friends. A light hearted man whose smile could get him into and out of anything he wanted. And the only man who truly understood the wandering ways of his three children. He will continue to wander in their hearts until they can wander together again. A special thanks to Bernard Johnson for his heroic efforts on Finlayson Island. Our family is eternally grateful for everything you did. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of donor's choice. The Celebration of Brent's life was held Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from "The Garden Chapel" ~ Battlefords Funeral Service, North Battleford, SK with Rev. Richard Prankev officiating. We would also like to thank Robert MacKay and the staff at Battleford's Funeral Services for their compassionate care in our time of need. To all, your kindness and sympathy was deeply appreciated.
