RAY: Marion Muir Ray passed away on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011. Marion was born in Bombay, India on November 2, 1915. Together with her sister: Jean and her parents: Elizabeth Tait and James Welch, the family immigrated to Canada - to Meota, Saskatchewan.

RAY: Marion Muir Ray passed away on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011. Marion was born in Bombay, India on November 2, 1915. Together with her sister: Jean and her parents: Elizabeth Tait and James Welch, the family immigrated to Canada - to Meota, Saskatchewan. They lived with their grandparents, John and Marion Tait upon arrival in Meota. In 1939 Marion married Charles Ray of the Prince district. Never one to shun hard work, she toiled along with her husband on the farm. She was active in the community and her church as well as maintaining a large vegetable and flower garden, while also tending to the farm duties. She also spent some years as one of the telephone operators. She never asked for anything special and was loved and admired by many over the years. Marion is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth; two grandsons, Kirk (Lisa), their children: Ali and Megan; Blaine (Jocelyn) and their children: Todd and Ty; Diane, Tara, Darren (Jessica) and a very special great-grandson Drake; sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Marion; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives in Scotland. Marion was predeceased by her husband Charles; sister, Jean and a very special nephew, Terry. Funeral Service will be held in the Meota United Church, Meota, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Meota Cemetery, Meota, SK. Memorial Tributes may be made to the Meota Cemetery Fund or Donor's Choice. Luncheon and fellowship will follow at the Do-Drop-In, Meota, SK. ____________________________________________________
