RANGE ~ Andrew Range passed away at the Riverside Health Complex on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the age of 101 years. Andrew, the fourth of nine children, was born to Anna and Otto Range who emigrated from Kansas to homestead in the Livelong area in 1906. Andrew, until a few weeks prior to his death resided a quarter of a mile from where he was born, living in the farmhouse he and his wife May built in 1945. Andy will be remembered for all who knew him for his laughter, his good humor, his stories, and his agreeable and unassuming manner. He loved life and all living things. He was a talented artist who found unending inspiration in the natural world around him. Andrew leaves to mourn his passing: his son, Jim (Nancy) Range of Livelong, Saskatchewan; daughter, Elsa-Mae (Lorne) Ferguson of Paynton, Saskatchewan; five grandchildren: Craig Range, Kristen Range, Lynette Perrier, Nicole Green and Warren Ferguson; as well as numerous other relatives. Andrew was predeceased by his loving wife, Georgina May Range; two sisters: Louise Range and Mildred Range; four brothers: Gerald Range, John Range, Irvin Range, and Clarence Range; parents, Otto and Anna Range; nephew, Melvin Range; and niece, Sharon Range. The Memorial Service for Andrew was conducted from Livelong Community Hall on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 1:30 PM with Reverend Canon Don Skinner officiating. The eulogy was given by Elsa-Mae Ferguson and Jim Range. A Duet, "How Great Thou Art" was sung by granddaughters, Nicole Green and Lynette Perrier. The Hymn sung, "In The Garden" was accompanied by organist, Darlene Kivimaa. The honorary pallbearers were his five grandchildren: Craig Range, Kristen Range, Lynette Perrier, Nicole Green and Warren Ferguson. Interment was held in the Livelong Cemetery. Donations in Andrew's memory may be made to the Arthritis Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. ____________________________________________________
