PELCHAT: In Loving Memory of Germain Joseph "Gerry" Pelchat born July 10, 1917 in Ponteix, SK. Passed away March 9, 2013 North Battleford, SK. Gerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary of North Battleford SK; Children: Gerald (Lynda) Pelchat of Calgary, AB; Linda (Barry) Marchand of Regina, SK; Valarie Marshall (Harold Lawerence) of Calgary AB; Brenda (Art) Funk of Calgary AB; Grandchildren: Blair Marshall (Sarah), Jamie Forrest (Chad), and Alyssa Maggrah; Great-granddaughter Grace Forrest. Funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Fr. Gerard Legaspi as Celebrant. Prayers were held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 7:30 PM from the Chapel of Sallows & McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home with Jean Pawlus officiating. Legion Rites and Honour Guard were delivered by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #70 Led by Comrade Frank Simpson and Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree. The Eulogy was delivered by Gerald Pelchat, Cross Bearer was Jamie Forrest, Readers were Brenda Funk and Valarie Marshall, Gift Bearers were Mike and Carolyn Washuk , Music Ministry by Glenn Goodman and the Notre Dame Parish Choir. Active Pallbearers were, Barry Marchand, Harry Lawrence, Richard Pelchat, Daniel Konopelski, David Konopelski , Ross Nykiforuk, Percy Maxon, Art Funk, Honorary Pallbearers were All Those Who Shared in Gerry's Life. Interment followed in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens North Battleford, SK; Donations in memory of Gerry Pelchat may be made to CNIB (1705 McKercher Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7H 5N6) or the BUH Foundation (PO Box 1358, North Battleford, S9A 3L8) Arrangements entrusted to Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home.
