OBOROWSKY: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Minnie Oborowsky, formerly of Battleford, on Sunday September 15, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Minnie leaves behind to cherish her memory her three daughters: MaryAnn (Gerry) and her children Jordan (Julia) and their daughters, Lily and Olive, Caitlin (Graham) and their children Elliot, Isla, Everett and Emelia, and Emory (Geoff); Joanne (Dariusz) and their children Marek and Maren, and Vivian (Gordon) and their children Brittany (David) and Mitchell; sisters Ann, Olga, and Helen. Minnie is also survived by two special sisters-in-law Olive and Lena. Minnie is predeceased by her husband Joe, of 55 years; her parents Michael and Mary; a twin brother in infancy; her brothers Bill and Slawko; most recently, her sister Mary; as well as brothers-in-law Tom, Ralph, Roderick, John, Norbert and Bill. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Gerard Legaspi as celebrant. Private Family Interment took place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, the family has requested that donations in Minnie's memory be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
