NIXON: Richard E. Nixon - passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at River Heights Lodge at the age of 76. He was born August 24, 1936, at home on the family homestead near Loon Lake. He was the youngest of five children. He met and married his wife Sharon in 1964. They had four children. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters: Elice (Alan) Fuhr, Emmy, Ricky & Brian; Joanne (Wayne) Kzyzyk, Kathleen, Alexandra, Bailey, Jared & Ethan; Karen (Tim) van Meer, Greg, Kevin & Danny: great grandson Jace; brother-in-law Les Brundge; sisters-in-laws Hazel & Margaret; numerous nieces & nephews and several cousins. He was predeceased by son Richard Allan; parents John & Evelyn; brothers, Ralph & Bill; sisters Ethel & Janice; brother-in-law Joe Woloski; sister-in-law Linda Nixon-Schlosser. A Memorial Service was held at the Western Development Museum, North Battleford, SK September 4, 2012 with the interment of cremains in the Wilkie Cemetery with his son, Ricky. Mrs. Joyce Salie conducted the service, with Bonnie Phillips providing the music. Daughters Elice, Joanne & Karen shared Special Memories, closing with a special trucker's song that was a favorite of their Dad's "Six Days On The Road." Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to Ronald MacDonald House, 1011 University Dr, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 0K4. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Battlefords Funeral Service.
