NACHTEGAELE: It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gus Nachtegaele on Dec. 31, 2011 with his family by his side. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 62 years, Irene. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Linda & Blair Campbell of Prince Albert, SK; Lucille & Bob Gervais of Spruce Grove, AB & family: Jennifer (Trevor) Crawford: Jack & Aiden, Erin Gervais (Steve Giroux); Connie & Mike Saprikin of Battleford, SK & family: Michael (Sabrina) Silvester: Destinee & Ava and Cole Sapriken; Don Nachtegaele of rural North Battleford, SK; Garry & Carol Nachtegaele of rural North Battleford, SK & family: Nicole Nachtegaele, Michelle Nachtegaele (fiancé Ray Vincent) and Mark Nachtegaele; his brothers and sister: Victor (Charlesena) Nachtegaele of Buck Lake, AB, Renilda Kemp of Fort MacLeod, AB and Richard (Albertine) Nachtegaele of Fort MacLeod, AB; nieces, nephews and their families. Gus was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Suzanne Nachtegaele. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from Notre Dame De Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, SK with Rev. Fr. Gerard Legaspi, Celebrant. The Cross Bearers were Cole Sapriken and Mark Nachtegaele and Shared Memories by Jennifer Crawford and Erin Gervais. Liturgy Of The Word was shared Mike Sapriken and Bob Gervais; Gospel, Rev. Fr. Gerard Legaspi; Prayers Of The Faithful by Keith Liebaert. Offertory Gift Bearers were Michelle Nachtegaele and Nicole Nachtegaele. Gifts of Music by Pianist, Garry Gansauge; Soloists, Lisa Hornung and Robert MacKay; Notre Dame Parish Choir and Piper, Blair Campbell. An Honour Guard was present with Knights Of Columbus - Council 2094, North Battleford, SK. The Honourary Pallbearers were "All Who Shared His Life" and Pallbearers were George Nachtegaele, Allen Nachtegaele, Keith Liebaert, Raymond Hebert, Michael Silvester and Randy Friedt. Memorials are requested to Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation Inc, Box 1358, North Battleford, SK S9A 3L8. Interment took place at City Cemetery, North Battleford, SK. We appreciate the dedicated and sincere service of Dr. Lipsett over the years. We also thank Dr. Ritchie of the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, for his expertise in hematology. Our family would also like to extend a big thank-you to all friends and relatives, who visited dad and supported us during this time.
