MILLER: Helena Marianna Miller (formerly Nolin) nee Bertsch 1934-2011 Helena Marianna Miller passed away peacefully after a brave and courageous battle with cancer on September 16, 2011. Helena was born to Magdelena and Stanley Bertsch in Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan on May 13, 1934. Our mother graduated from Kerrobert High School in 1949 and graduated from nursing school in 1951. Mom was married to our dad in 1951 and they enjoyed their life together raising 5 daughters. Of her family, Helena is survived by her brother Stan (Faye) Bertsch, sisters Kay Arnold and Anne Whetter all of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Helen leaves to mourn her husband Art Miller and his extended family. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters Geraldine (Doug) Guse, Cliff Fiddler of Cranbrook, B.C., Cheryl (Dwayne) Pentland of Penticton, B.C., Susan (John) Kennedy of Trinidad, WI, 8 grandchildren Jason (Kyra), Jennifer (Alex), Tracey, Shawna (Ross), Tyler, Jaime, Brandon (Justina), Jim (Dana), 11 great grandchildren Mikayla, Kristanna, Jeremy, Jayden, Evan, Jesse, Taylor, Carter, Easton, Aiden and lil' Nolin. She was predeceased by her husband Euclid (Ted) Nolin (1994) and her two daughters Maryanne (1998) and Brenda (2005). A mass of Christian burial for Helen was held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook (39 - 10th Avenue Â鶹´«Ã½AV) on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Father Peter Tompkins officiating. Interment will be held in Pentiction, B.C. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the: Cranbrook Society of Community Living for the 7th Street Residential Program, c/o 22-14th Avenue Â鶹´«Ã½AV, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2W8 Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
