MCPHEE: It is with deep sadness that the family of Hector McPhee announces his passing June 14, 2011, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

MCPHEE: It is with deep sadness that the family of Hector McPhee announces his passing June 14, 2011, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. He will be missed by his daughter Donna (Don)Carter, grandchildren Shane and Aaron Carter, and great granddaughter Abigail Carter Wilson, his son Dale (Linda) McPhee, and grandchildren Sara (Lucas) McPhee- Knowles, Ryan and Lucas McPhee, and mother of his children Mabel McPhee, as well as his sister Gladys Foster, brothers Wallace (Joyce) McPhee, Don McPhee, Jim (Joyce) McPhee and numerous nieces and nephews and many fiends. He will also be missed by the children of his loving companion of 28 years, Ivy Baker, who passed in 2001, Kevin (Luz) Baker, Jaqueline (Leo) Derosier, John (Tammy) Baker and Dennis Baker and their children. He is predeceased by his parents Edna and Elmer McPhee, brother Earl, sister-in-law Clara McPhee and brother-in-law Wilfred Foster. Hector was born in Saskatoon, SK November 27, 1927, spent his early years in and around Tisdale, SK and made North Battleford, SK home for 37 years. He moved to Red Deer, AB in 2007 to be closer to his daughter and family but was always a true blue Saskatchewan boy, fondly referring to it as God's Country. He will be remembered for his skill at operating heavy machinery, his talents as a handyman, his love of sports (Go Riders!) and his ability to visit and socialize with anyone. He had a kind heart and a great smile. Interment and a celebration of Hector's life will be in Tisdale, Sask. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Unit 35 and Unit 21 for their compassionate care during Hector's many days in hospital and to Dr. Rautenbach for his support and professional care. He truly had the best. Thank-you to the staff at the Bethany Collegeside for their love and concern during Hector's short time there.
