MCDONALD - In Loving Memory of Bruce Bennett McDonald who was born on February 8, 1945 in North Battleford and passed away on December 7, 2012 in North Battleford. Bruce is survived by his wife, Rose McDonald ; brother, David (Margaret) McDonald ; sister, Elsie May Bongard of Port Perry, Ontario; sister-in-law, Merle McDonald ; and several nieces & nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his mother & father, Vida & Robert F. McDonald ; brother, Robert McDonald; brother-in-law, Gordon Bongard; sister-in-law, Mary (Dean) Gustafson ; and sister-in-law, Elsie (Boris) Bobesko of Thompson, Manitoba. Prayer service was held on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:30 pm at Notre Dame Church in North Battleford. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 12 at 10:30 am at Notre Dame Church. Interment took place at the North Battleford City Cemetery, North Battleford. If anyone wishes to make a memorial donation in Bruce's memory, it may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Battleford's Union Hospital or the Notre Dame Church Building Fund. Funeral service was entrusted to Trevor Watts of Eternal Memories Funeral Home & Crematorium, North Battleford. Card of Thanks MCDONALD - The family of the late Bruce McDonald wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported them during Bruce's recent illness and death. We are deeply grateful for all the visits, prayers, mass cards, sympathy cards, phone calls, flowers, food and charitable donations. The support shown will always be remembered. Thank you to Father Gerard Legaspi, Jean Pawlus, Charles Day, Lisa Hornung, Larissa & James Chipak, Gary Gansuage and the choir for the meaningful celebration of Bruce's life. Your songs, words and reflections brought us all such hope and comfort. Our appreciation is extended to the staff at the Battleford's Union Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Thank you for your compassion in making Bruce's last days comfortable. A special thank you to Trevor Watts and staff of Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium for their professional services at this difficult time.
