MATERI, Max September 15, 1936 - January 14, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Max Materi on January 14, 2012 at the age of 74 years. Max was born on September 15, 1936 in Macklin, Saskatchewan.

MATERI, Max September 15, 1936 - January 14, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Max Materi on January 14, 2012 at the age of 74 years. Max was born on September 15, 1936 in Macklin, Saskatchewan. Max is survived by his daughter Kim and son-in-law Rick, his son Darcy, his son Cory and daughter-in-law Shelley, six (6) grandchildren: Allana Jordan, Brandon Jordan, Tamarah Wilson and her husband Dylan, Ashey Materi, Brittnee Materi, Austin Materi; and seven (7) great-grandchildren: Kahlen, Cheyenne, Brooklynne, Vyctoria, Jordynn, Ashton and Parker. Max is also survived by his brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Max was predeceased in June 2000 by his wife Janet of 40 years to which they are now reunited forever. A Funeral Service will be held at the Notre Dame Church in North Battleford, SK on January 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Max and his family wish to thank the amazing staff from Okotoks Homecare for the outstanding emotional and medical support that was provided to Max over the past few years. Specifically, Nicole and Danielle for being great friends. Max and his family would also like to send a special thank you to Phillipa for all the care and compassion she shared with Max in his final few months. You became a great friend! Max spent his final days at the Foothills Country Hospice, where he was treated with the greatest respect and dignity. We would like to thank all the staff for their personal sacrifice and devotion to the patients and their family. In living memory of Max Materi, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park to celebrate Max, his life and his family. A celebration for both Max and Janet Materi will be held at the Notre Dame Church located at 1201-105th Street, North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Following the celebration both Max and Janet will be laid to rest in the North Battleford City Cemetery. ____________________________________________________
