MATERI: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Materi, late of Battleford, on September 14, 2011 at the age of 82 years. Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her siblings: Flora Kennedy, Kay Tessaro, Ann (Gus) Vollman, Linda Leibel, Jack (Katherine) Materi, Frank Materi, Max Materi, Ted Materi, Tony (Cheryl) Materi; brother in law Ernie Hjalmarson; sister in law Iris Kotelko; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Anton and Anastasia Materi; brothers Walter and Joe Materi; sister Clara Hjalmarson; brothers in law Cliff Kennedy, Francis Tessaro, John Vollman, and Philip Leibel; sisters in law Ruth Materi, Janet Materi, Wynn Materi, and Elsie Materi. Prayers were held on Sunday, September 18 from the Chapel of Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home with Mel Kozlowski presiding. Funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 19 from St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, Battleford with Reverend Father Anthony Afangide as Celebrant. Interment took place at the City of North Battleford Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Pauline's memory may be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Society.
