Eulogy delivered by Al White Roger Bernard Manegre was born on April 11th, 1946 in North Battleford. He was the fourth born of four children. Roger attended elementary school at Notre Dame in North Battleford. Roger went daily to the Notre Dame Parish where he served as an altar boy. After attending school at Notre Dame Roger moved onto St. Thomas College in North Battleford. After College Roger started working his first job at Maher Agencies, this was the beginning of many years as an Insurance Salesman. Roger married the love of his life Dorothy Denton in 1965 and together they shared 48 years of wedded bliss. In 1966 Roger managed to scrape enough money together to buy Cut Knife Agencies, an insurance business that him and Dorothy developed into Real Estate, a Sears order office, Liquor vendor and weekly newspaper. During his time in Cut Knife Roger served six years as an alderman and nineteen consecutive years as the Mayor of the community. In 1996 Roger and Dorothy sold Cut Knife agencies and Roger took on a management position for the Spiritwood ACTC. In 1998 they bought REMAX of the Battlefords, which he developed into a staff of twenty agents, it also included a satellite office in Meadow Lake. In 2010 Roger sold REMAX of the Battlefords to Brian Maunula and he continued on as the franchise Broker. For Roger, family was everything, his forever wife Dorothy, son Darin, daughter in law Sheri and those grandchildren Paige and Conner, who he would continuously be found bragging about. Without question Turtle Lake and that pontoon boat was a passion and for sure if you went boating with Roger you had to set at least six to eight hours aside. From the book of Ecclesiastics Chapter 12 versus 6 and 7 "Or ever the silver cord be loosed or the golden bowl be broken, or the picture broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern then shall the dust return to the earth as it was and the spirit shall return onto God who gave it"..
