KULYK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Kulyk, late of North Battleford, Saskatchewan on December 8, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Jean was born on January 28, 1926 at L'Vov, Poland. Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons: Allan (Hazel): Jason, Jim, Claudette; Lorne : Chuck - granddaughter Paige; Glenn (Pam); sisters: Anne Haubrich, Sylvia Kotchorek, Helen Stephenson, Diane Sawarin, Marie Bonthoux; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph; parents John and Annie Luchkiw; brothers Allan Luchkiw and John Lucky; sister Kay Simon; and daughter-in-law Kathy Kulyk. The funeral service was held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from St. Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, with Reverend Father Val Besas officiating. Pallbearers were: Mark Kotchorek, Curtis Kotchorek, Richard Kulyk, Jack Androsoff, Jim Ruda, and Chuck Zadko. Interment took place at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family have requested that donations in Jean's memory be made to the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care PO Box 1358, North Battleford, SK S9A 3L8.
