KAHPEAYSEWAT: Esther Kahpeaysewat Born February 1, 1937, Duck Lake, SK. Passed away May 2, 2011, North Battleford, SK. Survived by her loving family: daughters: Darlene, Tina, (Brant), Sylvia Arcand, and Josephine Ironbow (Don); sons: Ken, Burton , Kevin (Loretta) and Wesley ; sisters: Norma Letal, Denise Cameron, Brenda Soldier, Linda Frenchman (Howard) and Jannette Shorting (Stan); brothers: Oliver Gamble, Emile Gamble (Bev), Doug Gamble (Jackie) and Dennis Gamble (Janet); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Ambrose and Dorothy Gamble; husband "Big Bill" Kahpeaysewat; daughter, Erna Kahpeaysewat; adopted daughter, Debbie Smokeyday; numerous brothers, sisters and one son. Honourary Pallbearers: Mary Kahpeaysewat, Violet Delorme, Lena Kahpeaysewat, Bernadette Albert, Gertrude Delorme, "and all her friends". Pallbearers: Dean Gamble, Bruce Gamble, Leo Gamble, Andrew Gamble, Garth Gamble and Waylon Arcand. The family of the late Ester Kahpeaysewat would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the following people: The nursing staff on 3rd floor of BUH for their wonderful care of our mom while she spent many months in the hospital; Dr. S.Ahmad, her physicians, Mary Kahpeaysewat and family for all the work they did at the wake, Gary Arcand, for his support; the Chief and Council of Moosomin First Nation, The Battlefords Funeral Service, and all who supported us in our time of grief.
