IVERSON : Judith Sylvie Marie Iverson (nee Gregoire), September 13, 1946 - October 15, 2013. After a courageous battle with cancer, Judy passed away on Tuesday, October 15 at the Battlefords Union Hospital. Judy is survived by her loving husband Vernon, who stood steady by her side over the last 3 months, her children and their families: Jocelyn (Wade) Keller and their children: Brady, Alyssa, Kylie and Dylan; Erin Iverson (Korey Dunn) and their children: Mary Bunner and Parker and Jackson Dunn; Christine Iverson; Keith Iverson (Jennifer Webb). Judy is also survived by her parents, Paul and Madeleine Gregoire, siblings: Fr. Nestor Gregoire, Godfrey (Claudette) Gregoire, Gordon (Carole) Gregoire, David Gregoire, Marcia (Rick) Kissack and Glen (Jacqueline) Gregoire. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Larry Iverson & Warren (Elaine) Iverson and sister-in-law, Arlene Walker and many nieces, nephews and relatives. Judy was predeceased by her brother, Leonard, sister in-law, Donna Gregoire and brother in-law, Garry Walker. Born in North Battleford, Judy was the second of 8 children. She took most of her elementary school at Nolin School. She attended High school at COCJ and took a year of Commercial at NBCI. During her working years, she worked in North Battleford, Lloydminster and Swift Current. She met Vernon at a school dance and they married in 1971. Vernon's work took him to Swift Current where they spent 5 years before moving to his family farm in Meota. Judy decided to give up working to stay home with the kids. During that time, she was involved in many clubs and activities. Most recently with the Sons of Norway, lawn bowling and were in the Meota, North Battleford and Yuma Bridge Clubs. After Vernon retired in 1997, they headed down south to Yuma for their winters where they met up with relatives and many new friends. Mass Of Christian Burial was held Monday, October 21, 2013 at Meota Community Complex, Meota, SK with Fr. Nestor Gregoire, O.M.I., Celebrant. Interment followed at Meota Cemetery, Meota, SK. Thank you to the staff at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon and the Battlefords Union Hospital for providing the care Judy needed during this final journey.
