HOCHBAUM: Norma Lovilla, nee Wemyss, born February 16, 1927, passed away at Battlefords District Care Centre on Tuesday May 15, 2012 at the age of 85 years. Left to cherish her memory are her children: JACK (Gwen Head) of Wilkie: Kevin (Leanne) Head - Rylan, Kaibree, Jenai, Travis Head - Gracie; TERRY (Heather) of Battleford: Jonathan (Jennifer) - Anakin, Cameron, and Connor, Tera (Ralph) Ebach - RJ, Norman (Krista)- Brooklyn, Karla (Brian Olimb)- Chance and Natalia; BRENDA (Ross) Donald of Rockhaven: Megan, Ryan and Alex; her brother John Wemyss, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Norma was predeceased by her husband Otto; her mother and father Clara and Jack Wemyss; and her sister Lucy Waite. Norma was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilkie, belonged to the Rebekkahs and to the Wilkie Art Club. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and making ceramics. She was noted for her excellent cooking and baking skills. Her cabin at Cochin was where she spent most of her weekends in the summer and she enjoyed and welcomed the company of everyone. Her great loves were her family and the family farm. She very proudly proclaimed she was a "farmer" on the voting list. Her last 5 years were spent at Battlefords District Care where she always had chocolates to share with visitors. Her funeral was held at Trinity Lutheran Church on May 19 with Pastor Douglas Taylor officiating. The inurnment followed at the Wilkie Cemetery. Memorial Tributes for Norma can be given to Battlefords District Care Centre, PO Box 69, Battleford, SK S0M 0E0. Condolences for the family may be left at Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home were in charge of the funeral arrangements. A thank you to the staff of Ward 3 at Battlefords District Care Centre, to Pastor Taylor for his comforting words and wonderful service, to the Lutheran Ladies for the excellent lunch, and to Lynn Christiansen the organist. A special thank you to Kim Anderson for being the urn bearer and for his remembrances of Mom at the lunch, and for all the cards, flowers, donations, and food. It was greatly appreciated.
