Gertrud is survived by her loving children: Sandra (Jerry) Gordon, Linda (Mark) Laughren, Iona (Terry) O'Donnell, Abby (Brad) Wuitchik, Siegmund (Carol) Halter, Art (Sherri) Halter and Wally (Dawna) Halter; 21 Grandchildren; 28 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; two sisters: Rosie (Sig) Brestrich & Inga Berg; brother-in-law, Werner Lunghamer, nieces and nephews. Gertrud was predeceased by her parents, Julius & Marie Knecht; her husband, Anthony Halter; daughter, Debbie; sisters: Erna, Elfrieda & Amanda and brother, Arthur Knecht. Vigil of Prayer was held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 with Jean Pawlus, Presider and Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, October 31, 2012 with Fr. Gerard Legaspi, Celebrant; both Services from Notre Dame De Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, SK. The Cross Bearer was Dawna Halter and Eulogy by Art Halter. Liturgy Of The Word was shared by 1st Reading, Erin Forbes; Responsorial Psalm, Choir; 2nd Reading, Leora MacIntyre and Prayers Of The Faithful, Marissa Halter. Liturgy Of The Eucharist: Offertory Gift Bearers, Chris Sawarin & Eliza Halter. Music Ministry was Organist, Doreen Gilles and Notre Dame Choir. The Honourary Pallbearers were "All Who Knew Gertrud".
