GRANT, MAUREEN: Maureen passed away on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 after a brave fight with poor health. She leaves behind to celebrate her life - daughters, Heather, Patti (Jason Todosichuk), and Juli; and her son, James (Pamela) their children, Parker, Maxwell and Jordan. She is now with her husband (Gethyn) and together they can celebrate their 50th Anniversary on July 6th. Instead of accomplishments though many, the best words to recognize Mom are her attributes. Mom was the person that all who knew her could count on. Though small in stature, she had the biggest shoulders you can imagine. Through words, actions or just listening, family and friends knew she was always there for them. That is a legacy we will all work hard to live up to. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Egadz (485-1st Avenue N Saskatoon, S7K 1X5) or Kidsport (510 Cynthia St, Saskatoon, SK S7L 7K7), two children centred charities very close to her heart. Sincere thanks to all family and friends especially her nephew, Corey for making this time easier. To the staff at the Royal University Hospital thank you for all of your kindness and gentle care for Mom in her final days. And a message to everyone: Follow your dreams. Make them happen. That was her mantra and the best way to honour her memory is to start working on your bucket list. "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded". A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27th, at McClure United Church (4025 Taylor Street East).
