ELLIOTT , Jean; In loving memory of Jean Elliott who passed away on Monday, April 16th, 2012 in Edam at the age of 84. Jean will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Wes (of over 60 years), son Roger (Mary) and daughter Linda (Don) Carson; grandchildren Delbert (Tasha), Shane (Whitney), Dustin (Sarah), Diana (Kane Tetz), Deanna Ringrose, Jenn Ringrose (Josh Bue), 6 great grandchildren (Ben, Miami, Lillienne, Savannah, Brooklynn & Jackson). Also left to mourn are brother Fred Wolfe, sister Doris Regnier, sister-in-law Mildred Wolfe, brother-in-law Dennis Elliott, sister-in-law Annabelle Elliott and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her parents Edith & Max Wolfe, brothers Harry, Bernard, Max (Dot), and Leonard; father & mother-in-law Delbert & Clara Elliott, brother-in-law Les Elliott and great grandson Jared Tompkins. She was born Ellen Jean Wolfe in Edam on February 28, 1928. She married the love of her life Wes Elliott on June 1, 1951 and last year they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Wes and Jean spent many years devoted to farming and raising their family. Throughout her life, Jean enjoyed many activities including gardening, reading, and crocheting special keepsakes for her family. She was also very dedicated to her church and the Minnehaha Ladies Group. But it was the devotion to her family that brought her the greatest joy. She took much pleasure in entertaining, playing cards, and sharing lots of laughs with her family & friends. CARD OF THANKS: Wes & family extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff of Edam Lady Minto Healthcare Centre for providing four years of wonderful care and kindness to Jean. Also, to the United Church Ladies Auxiliary, the Community Choir, McCaw Funeral Home, Reverend Don Skinner & Reverend Kun Kim; all the people who shared in Jean's life and all the love & support shown by family and friends. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Edam Lady Minto Health Care Centre or Edam United Church or Edam Community Cemetery (c/o Turtle River RM 469 Edam Office) ____________________________________________________
