DELORME, GALE:

DELORME, GALE: Gale Delorme of Jackfish, Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the age of 56. Gale was born July 17, 1956 to Joseph Paul Jerome and Thelma Marie Jerome (Sharpe). Gale grew up in a large family with one brother and nine sisters. Gale was blessed with three sons Tommy, Gordie and Gary who were Gale's pride and joy. Gale married Dennis Delorme on May 23, 1998. She was blessed again, as she and Dennis' families came together. Gale gained a new son George and three daughters Rochelle, Amanda and Rhonda. George lived much of his youth with Gale and Dennis. Coming from a large family herself, Gale loved having family near. Young and old alike gravitated to Gale. It was one of her gifts that she could make everyone feel loved and treasured. Each person who felt the honour of Gale's love really experienced something special. Gale's life was a testament to the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi where he said let me not so much seek to be loved as to love. Gale and Dennis lived in the tiny town of Jackfish where they had the post office in their home. Gale truly found her soulmate in Dennis. They did everything together and supported each other in so many ways. The way they loved each other and cared for each other warmed the hearts of all who knew them. Gale was a champion for all. She could not leave an injustice idle. She had a need to right the wrongs and make sure that things were fair. Some would say she was a firecracker. But Gale would be the first to correct you and tell you she was Irish - therefore she was downright stubborn. To those who knew her best, however, the reality was the needs of others were always more important to Gale than her own needs. Gale will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Gale was predeceased by parents Joseph and Thelma Jerome and infant brother Paul Louis, her infant niece Angela Jerome, her grandparents Zenon and Sally Jerome, and James Sharpe, her uncles Denis, Louis and Theodore and her Aunt Elsie; her mother-in-law Rosalie Delorme and brother-in-law Gerald Delorme. Left to mourn are Gale's husband Dennis Delorme, sons Tommy Bell, Gordie (Kim) Snaith and grandchildren Peyton and John, son, Gary Snaith; daughter Rhonda Pooyak and grandchildren Kayne, Kage, and Annaka, daughter Amanda (Dennis) Falcon, and grandchildren Keiza-Lee, Danton, Marcus, and Larashia; daughter Rochelle (Clint) Nabe and grandchildren Abigail "Abby Kadaby, Wyatt and Hudson, and son Denis "George" Delorme and grandson Dennis; and by her sisters-in-law and families and many nieces and nephews. Gale will be mourned by her brother Joseph Jerome (Flo), sisters Iv-Lee Kane (Greg), Sally Nash (Joe), Jackie Krchov (Doug), Paulette Capnerhurst (Ian), Theresa Kraemer (Darren), Leslie Smith (Bob), Micheal-Anne Angus (Howard), Zena Jerome, and Stephanie Rogal (Gord Schweitzer). She leaves behind to miss her, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephew whom she loved dearly. Gale will also be mourned and dearly missed by her father-in-law, Dennis, who held a special place in Gale's heart. Vigil of Prayer was held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish, North Battleford, SK. with Reverend Father Gerard Legaspi as celebrant. Donations in memory of Gale may be directed to Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, #1 - 345 3rd Avenue Â鶹´«Ã½AV, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1M6, Phone: (306) 931-4887 Toll Free 1-888-808-5437.
