CAMERON: KAREN CHRISTINE ELLA - It is with sadness Karen's family announce her passing at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013 at her home in Saskatoon, SK. Karen was born in North Battleford, SK on June 29, 1945. Her early childhood was spent in North Battleford where she enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Cochin, SK. Karen moved to Regina, SK with her family where she attended Public School at Wascana School and High School at Martin Collegiate. Following graduation, Karen worked for Federated Co-op and Sask. Revenue. Karen married Archie Cameron on September 3, 1966 and the couple moved to Weyburn, SK. Their son, Mathew was born on June 3, 1968 and daughter, Erin on June 3, 1970. Karen and Archie moved to Rosthern, SK in 1977 where Karen worked at The Button Hole. In 1987, they moved to Rosetown, SK where Karen worked at Granny's Fabric. In 1991 Karen and Archie moved to North Battleford, SK and from here to Saskatoon in 2009. Karen is survived by her husband, Archie; son Mathew & Trish: granddaughters: Shaylend (Jacob), Britney, Karley & great-granddaughter, Emma of Kindersley, SK; daughter, Erin & Daniel: grandsons: Ryand, Pangman, SK & Brandon, Red Deer, AB; sister, Linda (Rick) Phillips, Winnipeg, MB; sister-in-law, Sharon Cameron, St. Albert, AB. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Mat & Emily Lauritsen and one sister, Cathy. Service of Thanksgiving for Karen's Life was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 from Third Avenue United Church, North Battleford, SK with Rev. Frances Patterson officiating. Cremation interment will take place at a later date. The family have requested that donations in Karen's memory be considered to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
