Pat and family would like to express their appreciation to Bob Mackay for going over and beyond our expectations. Scott Parker and the Palliative Care nurses that cared for James in God's waiting room during his precious last days. A special thank you to Dr. Johnson for his kindness to family and caring for James. Vigil Of Prayer was held Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. from St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, Battleford, SK with Betty Boechler, Presider. First Reading was given by Nicki Standinghorn (Second Cousin) and Second Reading by Stan Masich (Brother-in-law) and The Eulogy was shared by Pat BelRose. The Ushers were Meagan LaRose (Great-niece) and Ryan LaRose (Great-nephew). Music was "The Breath You Take - Hallelujah", "Please Remember me - Thank You" and "My Wish - Remember When". Memorial Donations are requested to The Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation Inc, Box 1358, North Battleford, SK S9A 3L8 (Please designate to: the Palliative Care Unit). Condolences may be sent to: [email protected]. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service (446-4200) Card of Thanks Pat and family would like to thank all the people that came to pay their respect at the service, to James and family. Further, the flowers, food, cards, phone calls were very much appreciated at this trying time. A special thank-you to Niki Standinghorn for providing the bannock at the luncheon. For some, this was their first taste and enjoyed by many! Thank you to Jean Lundgren & Jackie Kennedy for the honourable mention to James at the All-Native Hockey Tournament where he was the score keeper for many years & was a part of it. It truly touched my heart by the attendance at the service that James was loved and a respected man by many.
