BEDFORD:

"Missing someone gets easier every day. Because, even though it is one day further from the last time you saw each other, it is one day closer to the next time you will".

"Missing someone gets easier every day. Because, even though it is one day further from the last time you saw each other, it is one day closer to the next time you will". BEDFORD: Eldon Orlando Bedford - husband, dad, grandpa, brother, extended family member, co-worker and friend. Eldon finished one journey and started another on April 1, 2011 at 4:45 p.m. During this transition his family welcomed and very much appreciated the comfort and support provided by Eldon's brother, Vic and his wife, Colleen, extended family members, Tim and Brenda Kelly, Eldon's long-time co-worker and friend Con Hunchak and spiritual counselor, Joyce Salie. It would have been so much harder without you there to share our grief at his passing. To everyone else we want to express our thanks for taking the time to ask how Eldon was doing, and how we were coping. The words, hugs, simple touches, food, letters, flowers, phone calls, visits, offers of assistance, prayers and blessings will always be remembered. If we have missed anyone or anything, you know who you are and know that we appreciate you. May we somehow give this same comfort to others as we finish our own journeys through this life. The preface to "Eldon's Book Of Life" read: "In what you say of another, apply the test of kindness, necessity and truth; and let nothing pass your lips without a 2/3 majority". He lived this principle every day and left the same way. Appreciation for the compassion and care over time is extended to Dr. H. Moolla, Dr. H. du Plessis, Dr. M.C. Khurana and Dr. S. Ahmad from the Saskatoon Cancer Centre and Scott Parker, the Palliative Care Coordinator at BUH. We cannot leave out the care and support from the staff of the Prairie North Mental Health, Saskatchewan Hospital and from Heartland Health Region. The hands-on care provided to Eldon on the Palliative Unit of BUH goes beyond words; the staff were often taxed beyond belief in their workload but were still able to draw on their reservoirs of strength and compassion to give of themselves just a little more for Eldon and for those who loved him. Eldon did not want to have a funeral. Cremains will be interred at a later date. Thank you to Battlefords Funeral Service for final arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: The Saskatoon Cancer Centre, 20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4H4. Remembered with love, Shirley, Shannon (Corey), Nina and Michael along with his family of pets - Cody, Meiko and China. ____________________________________________________
