BANNERMAN ~ Nellie Bannerman passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Nellie was born on January 21, 1926 in Edam, Saskatchewan to Miriam and Nickalaus Vallentgoed. Nellie will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Fred; son, Greg (Debby) Bannerman and daughter, Shannon Bannerman; three grandchildren, Melanie (Shawn) Fortier, Mandie (Kyle) Taylor and Matt (Emma) Bannerman; six great grandchildren, Keely Fortier, Jarron, Kasen and Raynon Taylor and Laila and Astrid Bannerman; two sisters, Miriam Vallentgoed and Ruth (Bill) Bannerman; one sister-in-law, Angie Vallentgoed as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Nellie Bannerman was conducted from The Good Shepherd Community Church, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Canon Don Skinner officiating. The eulogy was given by Susan Kern. The hymns sung were, "In The Garden" and "Amazing Grace" accompanied by organist Bev Meikle. The active pallbearers were Corey Bannerman, Garry Bannerman, Dale Bannerman, Owen Bannerman, Paul Constable, Bill Bannerman and Mark Constable. Interment was held in the Turtleford Cemetery. Donations in memory of Nellie may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Turtleford administered the funeral arrangements.
