BALLENDINE - It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our Mom; Nana; Nan; Grandmother - Yvonne, who passed away peacefully February 12, 2012 in North Battleford Union Hospital with her children by her side. Yvonne was born on July 30, 1921 in Meota, Saskatchewan then later moved to Battleford and married John Frederick Ballendine Jr (deceased) and raised their four children. Yvonne worked as a Nurse's Aide at Battleford Regional Care until she retired on August 14, 1981. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family: Sons: Randy (Laurie) Ballendine, Grandson - Carson. Tyler (Sheryl) Ballendine, Grandson - Colby (Stephanie), Granddaughter - Courtney (William). Daughters: Dianna Loik, Grandson - Tracy, Granddaughter - Patricia (Andy), Great Grandchildren - Eternity, Eva and Eaven. Dawn Roberts, Granddaughter - Nicole, Grandson - Herbie. A graveside service was held February 15, 2012. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations in Yvonne's memory be made to the Battleford's Union Hospital Foundation for Palliative Care (P.O. Box 1358, North Battleford, SK S9A 3L8). The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the BUH who took very good care of Mom.
