It’s wait and see time for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Green and White hope to learn more today on the injury status of offensive lineman Jacob Brammer.

The Right Tackle was assisted from the field and then taken to the locker room on a cart late in the Riders work-out Wednesday at Mosaic Stadium. Brammer and the team were taking part in a compete session near the conclusion of the workout when Brammer ended up at the bottom of a pile of players and then needed assistance on the field.

Following the practice Head Coach Corey Mace updated Brammer’s status. “Yeah, still trying to get a little bit more information on that. I think it, I mean, I'm hoping that it just looks scary than it actually was. But we'll have probably more information tomorrow. But like we have all year, if somebody needs to step up, then we've got to do it, and they're ready.”

Mace continued, “So it's good having certain guys who've been on this team, and obviously having people come in onto the team the last few weeks, being able to understand the system and having veterans around them certainly helps. So that's the plus of having depth.”

Brammer had filled the right tackle spot that was vacated by Jermarcus Hardrick after suffering a leg injury Week 6 in B.C.

The University of Vanderbilt grad signed with the Riders in December after completing his his collegiate career where he recorded 11 starts at right tackle and allowed just three sacks.

Also from the Wednesday injury report:

  • Kian Schaffer-Baker has been listed on the 6 game injured list.
  • Trevor Harris according to Mace is, “very close,” to returning.
  • A.J. Ouellette was on the field but not working out with the first team offence.
  • Anthony Lanier II sounds doubtful for Saturday’s game against Edmonton.
