Meadow Lake dominates week four of NSRBL

Make hay while the sun shines is just what the Meadow Lake White Sox did with the nice weather during the previous week of North Saskatchewan River Baseball League.

Make hay while the sun shines is just what the Meadow Lake White Sox did with the nice weather during the previous week of North Saskatchewan River Baseball League.

After four games were postponed due to rain Thursday, the White Sox were in action Friday and earned their first of three wins this week with a 12-2 victory over the Edam Blue Sox.

The White Sox were on the road again Sunday for a double header in Lloydminster and pulled out two more wins. Meadow Lake beat the Border City Blue Jays 4-3 thanks to same great pitching and they also earned the 6-5 win over the Midwest Expos to cap off the day.

Kindersley earned their first win of the season with a 14-5 win in Silver Lake against Standard Hill.

Monday night, the North Battleford Beavers beat the St. Walburg Reds 8-6. The Reds have played the Beavers tough in their last two meetings as they beat the Beavers last season and lost by just two runs this week.

The last game Monday, was between Edam and the Lloydminster Junior Redhawks. The Redhawks jumped all over Edam and took a 10-2 win.

Another note from the NSRBL is three players received one game suspensions due to abuse of the umpires. One player from the Edam versus Border City Blue Jays game and two players in the Lloydminster Twins versus Mervin Flyers game Wednesday night were ejected and later suspended by the discipline committee.
