UPDATE March 11, 2022:
Charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a weapon contrary to an order, against Lindsay Siemens were stayed in Saskatoon Provincial Court on March 3, 2022.
Charges stayed by the Crown can be “brought back to life” within one year of the day they are stayed.
LA RONGE – A woman wanted on warrants out of Prince Albert and Saskatoon and arrested in Humboldt on additional charges, remains in custody.
Tyra Dawn Ratt, 21, was remanded in custody and denied bail in La Ronge Provincial Court Nov. 15.
Ratt’s co-accused Trinity McKenzie, 21, and Victor Bairos, 54, were released on Nov. 5. Lindsay Siemens, 58, was previously released.
Ratt, McKenzie, Bairos, and Siemens were arrested in September after Humboldt RCMP noticed a suspicious parked vehicle in Bruno and observed a weapon in plain sight.
Police searched the vehicle the four were in and seized 1.16 kg of suspected methamphetamine, 37.9 grams of gamm-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), drug trafficking paraphernalia, ammunition, brass knuckles, and pepper spray.
Ratt, from La Ronge, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, obstruction, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. At the time of her arrest she had warrants from Prince Albert and Saskatoon on other charges. Her charges in Prince Albert and Saskatoon were waived to La Ronge. She appears in court again Nov. 29.
McKenzie, from Little Red River Cree Nation, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, obstruction of a peace officer, failing to comply with a probation order, and failing to comply with a release order. McKenzie also had warrants for her arrest in Saskatoon. She is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Nov. 23.
Siemens, 58, from Saskatoon, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a weapon contrary to an order. He appears next in Saskatoon Provincial Court Nov. 22.
Bairos, 54, from Saskatoon, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a weapon contrary to an order. He is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Dec. 2.
Bairos charged in another incident
Bairos was additionally charged Oct. 5 after the Saskatoon Police Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant at a rural property in Corman Park following an investigation.
When officers searched the residence, yard, and outbuildings, they located two stolen Seadoos with trailers, and a camper trailer. Police also seized six firearms and a small amount of methamphetamine.
Bairos was charged with 12 firearms offences, possession of methamphetamine, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failing to comply with a release order.
Jessica Lockman, 26, was also arrested in this incident. She was released and appears in Saskatoon Provincial Court Dec. 21.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, Prince Albert and North Battleford Crime Reduction Teams and Warman Detachment, as well as the Corman Park Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service’s Air Support Unit and Crime Reduction Team assisted in the investigation.
The charges against the accused haven’t been proven in court.
