SASKATOON - Update: Police made an arrest related to a report of a discharged firearm on Aug. 30.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Sept. 1, police were on regular patrol in the 200 block of Avenue H Â鶹´«Ã½AV when they observed a man matching the description of the suspect from Friday’s firearm event.
Officers were able to place the man under arrest without further incident; however, he was found to be in possession of ammunition.
As a result, a 32-year-old man from Saskatoon is facing charges relating to discharging a firearm while being reckless as to the life or safety of another person, and numerous other firearms charges.

Shortly before 9 a.m. on Aug. 30, police responded to the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue I North for a report of a woman pointing a firearm at another woman and hitting her with it. Arriving officers located the suspect and arrested her without further incident. After searching her, police found an imitation firearm in the bag she was carrying.
As a result, the 36-year-old woman has been charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, unauthorized carrying of a concealed weapon, assault with a weapon, and possession of false identity documents.
Discharged firearm
While attending the report of the pointed firearm, officers located a spent 9 mm cartridge case on the ground nearby.
Upon reviewing the video footage of a business in the area, police determined that a confrontation had occurred at around 8 a.m. on Aug. 30 between two men. During the confrontation, one man produced a knife, while the other produced and discharged a firearm. Both men then left the area.
