LA LOCHE — RCMP are looking for a man wanted on charges of discharging an air gun with intent and aggravated assault.
On June 21, at approximately 2 a.m., La Loche RCMP received a report of a shooting outside a business in La Loche. Police investigation determined three individuals on a quad approached an adult male and discharged an air gun at him. He was treated at the hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening.
As a result of police investigation, 24-year-old Keenan Sylvestre (also goes by “Smoosh”) of Clearwater River Dene Nation has been charged and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Officers are actively trying to locate him.
Keenan Sylvestre is described as five foot 11, 185 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair.
He is known to frequent the La Loche and Clearwater River Dene Nation areas.
