Once again the Christmas season is being celebrated in the Battlefords with A Walk Through Bethlehem.
The display will be set up at the Battlefords Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1611- 93rd Street in North Battleford. According to the promotional material about the event, A Walk Through Bethlehem provides the rare and unique opportunity for people in the Battlefords and area to go back in time and experience the city where Jesus Christ was born.
Visitors will be able to witness the sights and sounds of Bethlehem, a city bustling with activity. Not to be missed is the live nativity scene on display.
It promises to be another compelling interactive presentation on the heels of last year's successful event. Last year's display included the temple, the jail, the famous inn that had no room to spare for extra guests and the stable where Jesus was born. Sights and sounds include baking bread, live animals, as well as numerous volunteers wearing costumes of the period to bring the whole era to life.
This year's event is sure to be both an inspirational and educational experience that the whole family can enjoy.
Each tours lasts about 30 minutes. Admission is free. The tours run from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 9 and 10, and Dec. 11 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
